We help families navigate technology with clarity, confidence, and community.

Technology isn’t all bad.
You’re reading this online, so that’s good!

But when is technology good for kids? Does the digital world disrupt or enhance healthy development from birth to adulthood?

We believe kids of all ages are missing out when they don’t explore, connect, dream, and discover in the good, beautiful, and real world around them.

It’s easy to worry that our kids will be left out if they aren’t connected online, left behind if they don’t use the latest tech in school, and left alone to flounder if they aren’t tracked.

We all want what’s best for our kids, and we can look around and assume what’s best is what everyone else is doing.

Or, we can look up and go against the social norms before our kids miss out on life in the real world.

8-Week Class

We know how hard it can be to make decisions about technology for your kids - especially if you wish you could reverse decisions you’ve already made. We’ve been there. It can feel like you will lose no matter what.

The Social Rejects 8-week group class was designed with weary, stuck, and even skeptical parents in mind.

You need clarity about where your family stands when it comes to technology.

You need the confidence to uphold your convictions.

You need a community that holds you accountable for implementing change now.

Take the Social Rejects class to take action on what you know could change your child’s life.

  • "I was hesitant to take this class during a very busy time for our family, but I'm so grateful that I did it. Going through the class with my husband was so helpful for our family and for figuring out where we stand with technology. The classes and the homework were thought-provoking and immediately applicable! I saw fruit in our family through the specific homework assignments and gained new confidence in my convictions about technology. It also encouraged me to take a hard look at my own habits and to work at changing some of those into more beneficial routines. I would recommend this to anyone and especially encourage taking the class with your spouse!"

  • "I was already passionate about limiting tech use for kids, and this class presented tons of new information and ways of thinking about things. It's so important for families to have a clear and confident plan around technology - especially as it continues to change so rapidly. Social Rejects helps you do exactly that."

    Allie in Oregon

  • "This class made a huge impact on our family. Because of this class, we are more cognizant of when and how we use technology. I've seen major changes in my son's behavior, and we are closer as a family!"

    Kelsey in Kansas

  • "Social Rejects has been an incredibly valuable experience. From Day One, I felt like I was finally heading in the right direction in making some real changes in regards to how our family *and our community* tackle technology and children. The class was engaging, action-driven and encouraging. If you are a caregiver to children in any capacity, this class is for you."

    Tara in Texas

  • "As the parent of a pre-teen girl, this class offered immense value to our family by giving us some ideas on how to approach conversations regarding tech use and social media in the coming years. I've transformed my own habits around technology thanks to the lessons and homework. My daughter has recognized that at times she is one of the only kids without a phone, but this class has given us some great discussion points when she brings it up. I am so thankful that I was part of this class and I cannot wait to continue to build on the idea of being a Social Reject and see the positive impacts it has on my family in the years to come."

    Sarah in Nebraska

  • "The weekly assignments made it easy to make immediate and impactful progress in our home. Each lesson gave me new awareness around how technology and the online world impact children. Hearing from other parents in the group each week was encouraging and affirming because it helped us know we are not alone. My kids are loving the freedom and independence they are now experiencing in the real world, and they better understand why we're more protective of their time with tech thanks to the approaches we learned in the lessons."

    Kyler in Missouri

  • "Everyone should take this class. As a nurse, I see children's sleep, behavior, attention and mood all negatively effected by screens. Parents are using devices as babysitters and it's destroying our kids. This class not only showed us the evidence and gave us the arguments, but it equipped us with action items and ideas for getting into our communities and helping the places our own children spend their time make positive changes."

    Katy in Kansas

  • "Just as we as parents do our best to guide our kids in their relationships with family, friends, faith and education, it is just as important to be intentional about their relationship with technology in a time when our culture promotes a distorted view about what proper use of that technology looks like. Thanks to Social Rejects, our family confidently rejects these social norms and promote a healthy, conscious attitude towards how technology influences our lives."

    Tyler in Arizona

  • "We haven’t been confronted with difficult technology situations yet. We took Social Rejects to be proactive with a plan for the future. The class gave us the exact tools we needed to create a technology plan for our family. We left the class equipped with the tools we need to help our children thrive in the real world without the need to enter the digital world prematurely."
